Michael was born and raised in central Vermont. After graduating high school, he worked locally in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. He moved around many towns in the area, but he now resides in Upper Royalton. Michael is currently the General Manager of the Hanover Domino’s. He started as an entry level employee but was quickly promoted within months. He has been working at the Hanover Domino’s for around a year and a half.

Contextual Data:

These stories serve an important role in the communities of these employees. They are daily situations that all of the employees must deal with and something that bonds the folk group together and makes them distinct. These common stories are shared while working in tight quarters. The General Manager (Michael) shared these stories in a laid back manner as we went during the middle of the day when business was slow. He was delighted that we were interested in stories about his day-to-day life.

Item:

Another common story was a common trouble all drivers would experience while out making deliveries. Michael described how students would attempt to steal the delivery cars while the driver was out of the car delivering pizza. The driver would have to chase the students away from the cars to prevent them from getting in and driving away. Another common problem the drivers would experience is students would go out to the car, with tools, and attempt to remove the Domino’s Pizza logo off the top of the car. Again, the drivers would have to chase the students away from the car.
