Introduction:
- For our project, we took advantage of the pocket of international knowledge and experiences here at Dartmouth and we asked students to tell us their childhood tales. Applying what we have learned about the morphology of fairy tales, we initially intended to make our collection limited to childhood fairytales but in the process of collecting, we decided that it was better to broaden our reach and include all kinds of childhood folklore told around the world. We analyzed our pieces for any relations, patterns, and differences among them. We got to explore various tales from different cultures that have left an impact on international students growing up and that they have carried with them throughout their lives.
