2 songs by River Whyless

Genre: folk

Mood: you choose

Okay, I’m gonna write about two songs in this blog post. Both by the same artist and same album… so it works. Also, I make the rules here so ha!

First song: “The Feeling of Freedom” by River Whyless. This is a song you should listen to if you are happy.

Roll your windows down and feel the wind in your face. It is the perfect road trip song AND is getting me hype for spring and summer.

It also mentions inline skates in this song, which makes me super happy.

Second song: “Motel 6” by River Whyless. This song you should listen to when you are sad… or wanna just drink tea in your room.

These lyrics hurt the soul. This boy left someone in the parking lot (not cool). But then he says how in his mind he could have fixed everything, and he says “for the first time, I’m terrified of waking up alone”.

Ugh, what the heck. The way he sings that last line just gets to you. At least it got to me. I don’t know I can’t tell you how to think.

Anyways, this album is kinda lit and I think everyone should check it out.

Let me know what you think.

Xoxo
