Interview: Loving Again – Aria

Genre: Indietronica / Alternative

Mood: In the Car, Windows Down, Almost Summer

Hello lovely readers!

I am back because YOU inspired me with all the music suggestions, follows, and emails. So, let’s start with a new artist I know you have not heard of… ARIA.

It was this upbeat soul pounding bop “Loving Again” that I officially decided the Music Bean needed to come back. We gotta share good music with one another. Read below to find out more about ARIA and this AMAZING music you need to listen to ASAP:

Tell me as little or as much as you want about you!

I’m 19 years old, from Adelaide, Australia. I’ve been here my whole life, and honestly, it’s pretty cozy. I’ve been into music for as long as I can remember. Before I started making it, it was always something in the back of my mind that I wanted to get a grasp of. I think the first time I downloaded my digital audio workstation was when I was 8, but I was way too young to really focus on it or know what I was doing. After a couple more times of that, I started really honing in on it at like 15, and unlike other hobbies, I’m glad this one stuck.

What inspired you to write your new single “Loving Again”?

I think I remember the vocal line coming to me pretty randomly one night. The production in my head was easy to translate, and some recent experiences helped the writing process come along really quickly. Although that track took forever to actually call finished, it took months of tweaking before I submitted it – and if I’m being honest, I made edits to it even after submitting and had to re-upload everywhere a bunch of times. I do that a lot, I think I need to learn to just call something quits.

(Bean: yes, I am like that too. Don’t you worry, the song is great)

What artist(s) do you think influenced your musical style the most? Why?

So many artists have helped establish my style, I think. Recently I’ve been really into this band called LANY, I saw them live last year and the music that didn’t really connect with me suddenly meant so much and then fed into my own music. Frank Ocean, too, another artist that I didn’t really love until something randomly clicked, and now he’s up there with my most listened artists. I love Lauv, EDEN, and Jeremy Zucker, and probably a million other artists I can’t think of at the top of my head.

Have you always wanted to be a musician? How did your path lead you to pursue music?

Yeah, I think it’s always been something I’ve thought about. I remember singing along to random pop songs when I was like 5 and thinking ‘this, I’m gonna do this one day’. I touched on it a bit above, but I’ve downloaded FL so many times before I really actually stuck with it. Another time I came really close was during the massive dubstep phase in like 2011, but again it was too early for me I think to really hone in on. Then in 2015, I got a newfound love for music again and got really into it – just listening to it, until I thought I’d give making it myself another go.

One thing you want the readers to know about you:

I’m really pumped to get what I’ve been working on out there, and it’s finally ready. I have some exciting stuff that’s coming sooner than you might think. Stick with me.

(Bean: trust me, I’ll be sticking with you to see your career grow!)

It is because of all YOUR great music suggests, follows, and emails that have helped me build up the courage to revitalize the Music Bean. You have all inspired me so much, I give you the credit.

Check Out ARIA on Spotify, amazon music, apple music, and basically all other music platforms. You will not regret it.
