Manchester Orchestra Concert

Genre: Indie Rock

Mood: One of my favorite concerts

I am spending Thanksgiving with my boyfriend. The day I flew out, he impulse bought me concert tickets for that evening to Manchester Orchestra. This boy knows the way to my heart seriously.

As a music enthusiast, I have been to many concerts. This one is one of my top favorites. Not because I knew every word to every song. But because I didn’t know any words, and it made me feel incredibly emotional. I felt these lyrics and emotion in the songs, I really did.

The way this band played together was so cohesive and beautiful. One reason why is because they played their whole “Mean Everything to Nothing” album straight through. I LOVE when bands play an album straight through. My favorite concerts play full albums, not just mix together a bunch of songs. A concert just flows better this way.

I did not know any of these songs before the concert.  I had only listened to their 2017 album “Black Mile to the Surface”. Now, I am obsessed with their 2009 album which will be celebrating its 10-year released tomorrow.

So, reader, I need you to do me two favors:

  1. If Manchester Orchestra is touring near you, GO. They sound phenomenal live. I cannot explain it to you but I wish I could. Since I cannot explain, go listen for yourself.
  2. Celebrate the 10-year release of “Everything to Nothing” by listening to this album! On your drive or plane ride home for Thanksgiving, listen to it straight through. I promise, if you like good music, you will not be disappointed.

I know I will now be listening to this album on repeat for the next month. Listen with me.

XOXO
