Before I get started, a big thanks to Jason Wallace for suggesting this band! Suggest songs everyone! Suggest Bands! I love listening to new things!

If you know me by now, you know I am always a fan of the acoustic guitar. This song, in general, is so raw lyrically, vocally, and instrumentally. The simplicity is what really shook my core. It is hard to make a simple song be new, and somehow, Haunt the House did it.

The band is great, I suggest checking out the whole album “Jack Rabbit Jones”. Also, The lead singers biggest inspiration I guess is Nick Drake… so he knows what he is doing musically.

Now on to Sappy Bean.

Two years ago, my mind and heart were in a billion places at once. I was never satisfied with anything unless it was perfect. Fun fact my friends: life is never perfect. So I had a hard time with life.

I had someone who tried to “ease my troubled mind”. But I couldn’t let my mind be eased, because I was never satisfied. Sounds exactly like the song right?

But listening to this song, it reminds me this person only wanted to ease my troubled mind.

And imagine someone feeling this way about you… is it just me who imagines things like this? That someone could be listening to a song and thinking about you?

I don’t know, it makes my heart smile.
