Panic! at the Disco CONCERT!

Genre: Pop punk –> alternative –> alternative pop indie-ish (idk amazing)

Mood: the best live singer in the world

I have been to too many concerts I don’t know if I could even count accurately (at least over 20). I have worked at least 8 concerts this summer at the Mohegan Sun and who knows how many at Friday Night Rock.

The point is: I have seen a lot of artists sing live. Brendon Urie is by far the best live vocalist out of them all.

His voice is better live than on the recording. During the high notes he hits in the studio, he hits higher notes at the concert.

The concert started with a bang. Even though a lot of the music he played was from the New album, he played a good variety for this audience (which I was a huge fan of).

He played “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” which was a pleasant surprise. If you don’t know that song, look it up, you will be happy with some old Panic. He also sang a cover of The Greatest Show which definitely but Hugh Jackman to shame.

At one point, Brendon Urie floated across the entire arena singing Dying in La. Which, before that moment, was one of my least favorite songs off the whole album. However, him singing it live and not in the whole context of the album, I learned to really appreciate it.

Two Favorite Parts of the Concert:

  1. The sounds system went out during Bohemian Rhapsody. This seems like a bad thing, but it brought everyone in the 12,000 seat arena together. Brendon went out signing a T-Shirt and trying to entertain us with no microphone. Concerts are a magical place, and that was the proof.
  2. Being able to go with super AMAZING people. Katelyn bought the tickets when I said I had a car and am always willing to do a concert. I invited my favorite person Allie and Katelyn invited Sophia. We got in a car, went on a road trip, got some pizza, went to a concert, and got some Mcdonalds on the drive home

It is the little things in life that bring me the most joy. And live music > everything.

Enjoy these photos and I hope you listen to some Panic! at the Disco. Because Brendon Urie will NEVER get old.

xoxo
