For my Audio Postcard assignment, I interview my mother, Kim Vannett. She studied and lived in Mexico during the summer of 1992 and has some great experiences to share. Mostly, she wanted to emphasize the importance of immersing yourself in a culture in order to fully understand it. She talked about how it was imperative that she live in Mexico in order to speak Spanish fluently. The only thing she would change about her time in Mexico is the amount of time she spent there - she wishes she would have been there even longer. Take a listen!
