South African Literature is a class about the literature (including plays, short stories, novels, and non-fiction) of South Africa both during and after Apartheid.
We wrote two essays in this class. The first of these covered Apartheid literature--I chose to discuss strong male protagonists who get defeated by Apartheid's cogs.
The second of these essays covered literature of the fall of Apartheid. I chose to write about the characters in this era who are uncertain, yet are forced act anyway.
