Planters, Puritans, and Pirates

I took a 17th century British North American history class that studied the subject through three distinct lenses: that of Puritans, that of planters, and that of pirates.

I wrote an essay in the class about the significance of 1619, the year the first African arrived in British continental North America, and the year of the first meeting of the Virginia General Assembly. That can be found here.

I wrote an essay analyzing Glorious Revolution primary sources to discover what motivated the colonial rebellions, but also what prevented independence. That can be found here.

For my timed final paper, I wrote about the key determinants in the formation and fate of the three studied classes (planters, Puritans, and pirates). That essay can be found here.
