Development Economics

In Development Economics, we wrote three 1-page policy memos that each seek to tackle a different issue in developing economies.

Memo 1 is on the lack of research into pharmaceuticals that could treat or prevent diseases that disproportionately affect the developing world (like malaria). This memo can be found here.

Memo 2 is on social safety nets and the potential efficacy of a universal basic income in a country with around a 25th percentile GDP per capita. This memo can be found here.

Memo 3 seeks to describe and suggest improvements for political selection and performance in Botswana, especially around parliamentary compensation. This memo can be found here.
