Academic Work

During my time at Dartmouth, I’ve had the opportunity to refine my writing skills in various disciplines and styles, including scientific writing, research proposals, public policy writing, and writing in multimedia contexts, among others. These experiences have helped me become a more versatile thinker, as I’ve become comfortable expressing my thoughts through multiple sets of rhetorical norms. They’ve also helped me nurture my passion for communications work. The more I write, the more I realize how fulfilling it can be to find precisely the right words to deliver a compelling message. Please see here writing samples from my undergraduate years:

“The Hour of Separation”: An Analysis of First-Generation College Students’ Family Interactions. Sociology 11 – Research Methods. This assignment involved drafting a qualitative research proposal that might be feasibly implemented by an undergraduate student on a college campus. The proposal itself is quite long, but I believe that the literature review (pp. 5-11) best reflects my ability to engage in sociological analysis.
