Trial Starts for Belarusian activist Maria Kolesnikava

The trial for prominent Belarusian activist Maria Kolesnikava started this past Tuesday in Belarus. A prominent protest organizer who was arrested last year after she tore up her passport to resist attempts by authorities to expel her to Ukraine, Kolesnikava is charged with incitement to undermine national security.
