This Saturday, Shi Laoshi (pictured left, in pink) guided us on a wonderful one-day tour throughout Beijing. Dartmouth students visited some of Beijing’s most famous landmarks, such as Tiananmen Square, the financial district, the 2008 Olympic Stadium (nicknamed the Bird’s Nest) and the Water Cube. The group also visited several popular shopping streets, historic water towers and ancient works of architecture.
Needless to say, it was an exciting day full of muffins, water cubes, Mao’s portrait, being slyly photographed, and the fresh Beijing air.
