I am a current ’21 at Dartmouth College from Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in a Chinese/Vietnamese family to Vietnamese refugees. As a first-generation, low-income college student, there have been many moments of feeling misrecognized as being identified in a certain way. As a result, I am interested in breaking down the barrier of what it means to be Asian American to allow others to better recognize me as an individual.
