My first impression of the mural was the contrast of color from blue to red, and the heavy concentration of those two colors throughout the mural. In the beginning stages of the mural there was a heavy concentration of naked, muscular, and indigenous men, which I found very interesting. Towards, the end their was a native raising his hand which I understood as the native people rising up against Porfirio Diaz and other political leaders who attempted to quell the native people. In the example of Diaz, he trusted his country with a few bureaucrats known as Cientificos, and created a huge disparity towards the poverty-stricken native population. The historical side of the murals is what particularly interested me, especially dealing with the earlier stages of the mural.
