Hi! My name is Jillian Troth, and I’m a ’24 at Dartmouth. My interests tend to exist all along— and often on opposing sides— of the intellectual spectrum; for example, I’m fascinated by the ways in which microbes shape our health, but I’m also curious about how people perceive and interpret the world around them; I am very happy reading and writing scientific reports, but I also love the craft of fiction and comparative literature; I play the violin and listen to classical music, but I also dabble in the bass guitar and enjoy classic rock; I am an introvert who tends to get lost in my own thoughts, but I can often be spotted delivering public speeches (pre-pandemic) at community protests and vigils. I’m hoping that during my time at Dartmouth, I will seek out the intersections of my various passions to shape a unique and fulfilling career.
