Welcome to Augusta’s ENVS 3 Homepage

This website was created to create a discourse regarding sustainability. In this virtual academic setting, concept maps are used to define and show how sustainability is viewed and how it has changed over time. Concept maps were chosen because they have a very unique and creative way of relaying concepts of environmental researchers and institutions. Concept maps on this website address the current studies on sustainability, the history of sustainability pre-USA and Indigenous lifestyles, and the future of sustainability.   By making these concept maps/ knowledge open to the public, we as a society, can create a new way of thinking about the Environment and human impacts whilst including groups of people who are commonly left out of the conversation. The future of environmental work and justice needs to be inclusive to all human beings and to all subjects; environmental studies is interdisciplinary.
