I produced Seasons 1 and 2 of the How to Win a Campaign podcast. In total, that’s:
- 23 episodes (each ~30-40 minutes long)
- 5 special episodes (each ~20-30 minutes long)
- 6 full-length interview releases (each ~40 minutes long and edited only for sound quality)
- 7 mini-series episodes (each ~10 minutes long)
My duties included writing and editing episode outlines, scripts and published copy; facilitating recordings with guests; and coaching the two hosts to develop and improve their on-air presence. I also oversaw editing by external editors and edited some content myself, each time under tight deadlines. To grow our listenership, I wrote social media posts for The Campaign Workshop’s Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts to promote the podcast, and I engaged with guests and listeners over social media to foster an online campaign community.
As a result of my marketing work, How to Win a Campaign has earned over 90 five-star reviews on Apple Podcasts and teaches hundreds of dedicated listeners every week how they can run better campaigns.
You can listen here or on your preferred podcast streaming platform. Below are a couple pieces of content from the podcast that I both produced and edited.
Special Episode: Post-Election Wrap Up—What Happened and Where Do We Go From Here?
Now that Election Day has passed, Joe and Martín break down their experiences from this election cycle and what they learned for future campaigns. They discuss the highs and lows of the past few months and outline the key takeaways that campaigns and political professionals must learn from 2020.
(I recorded, edited, and published this special episode in under 8 hours.)
