When you arrive at the East Gate (东门) of BNU, your dorm Xinsong Apartments (新松公寓) is just a few minutes away by walk. Here is the BNU campus map with the East Gate and Xinsong Apartments circled. 
You can see that there are about three banks right across the street, and that two arrows indicate both McDonald's (M) 麦当劳 and Subway (Sub) 赛百味, which are outside the campus.
