I composed a brief podcast informing readers about a law President Trump privately signed in April giving states the option to block funding to any organization that provides abortions, including Planned Parenthood. This event is related to the more general issue of women’s access to healthcare under the Trump administration. This event is utilized as an example to shed light on the discrepancies between the government’s rhetoric and actions. The repetition of the content and summarization of the guest’s points by the narrator throughout the podcast help to clearly explicate the issue at hand.
Revisiting the podcast, I made changes to the technical sounds. I rerecorded the audio to improve its quality to help the listener better follow the narrative. Additionally, I adjusted the music cues to have more of a purpose so as now to serve as signals to the listener at the beginning and end of the podcast.
