The lack of light near the ceiling of the room emphasizes the large amount of light directed towards the exhibited paintings. The inclusion of art on or around the central structure creates a two-lap viewing experience. Different genres of paintings and wall colors are paired right next to each other at the corners of the room. The opening of the gallery allows the viewer to choose the direction that they will walk around the gallery. The light is especially directed toward the art, and shadows are all cast elsewhere. The high ceilings and sharp corners of the room produce an echoing effect. The beams of the spotlights direct viewers’ attention to the exhibited artwork. The bust is placed in the center of the open space, encouraging viewers to walk around it and observe it from all angles. The glass case bends the light directed toward it, emphasizing the important parts of the vase and deemphasizing the unimportant parts. Similar wall colors are paired far away from each other to create a sense of movement throughout the room In order to view the objects in the display case, the viewer must be in close proximity to the painting in the corner.
