Our Project Post-Mortems essentially served as mini reflections upon each, individual project. The following reflection was included at the beginning of my final submission of Project 1. 

This project definitely seemed daunting at the outset. I could verbally express the point I wanted to convey but had trouble putting those thoughts to paper and connecting them. Throughout the revision process, my content for the essay did not change drastically but rather my thesis and arguments so I still found myself rewriting significant portions for every draft. The most effective strategy I used, specifically for my final draft, was to focus on writing good topic sentences for every paragraph first and then going back and adding the content. This helped because I could focus my efforts toward writing good topic sentences and then read through them first to see if the intended progression of my argument was represented in the topic sentences. This strategy helped me stay organized and ensure that my claims were clear and progressed logically. I don’t know if this strategy will be totally transferable to future writing projects but for this specific argumentative paper I found it very helpful.
