In the fall of 2022, I took three courses.
Writing 5 is a required writing course for all incoming freshman over the topic of your choice. I was in Food for Thought, which centered around food, our interaction with the environment, and focused on expanding our scope of the agricultural and food worlds.
Religion 1.05: Religion & Gender was an elective course I took in the fall. The course’s main focus was to unpack if all religions were misogynistic, and through discussion, how religion and culture intersected to support patriarchy.
My final class was Economics 28: Public Policy and Finance. In this course, we discussed topics like inequality, poverty, and bias in policing. My final group project focused on evaluating paid family leave proposals in the US.
