For my ENGS21 semester project, my group Snow Big Deal, designed and created a water bottle which melts snow using electrical energy stored in batteries, allowing access to drinking water in cold, remote areas. Skills gained: engineering process, teamwork, circuitry, batteries, CAD, machining, and budgeting.
