Dick’s House Counseling

Counseling can provide students with support and help in finding ways to cope with the emotions that go along with a difficult time period. The goal of the Counseling Center is to provide students with an opportunity to explore their concerns and problems with professional mental health providers in a confidential setting. Our staff is committed to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive, quality mental healthcare to our diverse student population. The Counseling Center serves actively enrolled undergraduates, graduates, Tuck, Thayer and Geisel medical students. All Counseling Center appointments are free! There is no charge to meet with any of our providers. To make an appointment, call our office at 603-646-9442.

Student Wellness Center

The Student Wellness Center (SWC) is committed to supporting and promoting student mental health and wellbeing through non-clinical programs and services. For a master listing of all resources currently available through the SWC, check out the Virtual Student Wellness Center on their website.

The SWC offers Wellness Check-in sessions, where you can speak one on one (via Zoom or phone) with a member of their team who will listen non-judgmentally and help you navigate any transitions you may be facing in a way that feels authentic to you.

The SWC also provides live and asynchronous resources for students interested in mindfulness practices, including both meditation and yoga, and has even put together a guide full of resources focused on ways that students can maintain their wellbeing during the COVID-19 outbreak.

You can also subscribe to the SWC email list, follow the SWC on Instagram, and check out their SWC blog for thoughts and themes from their team about wellbeing at Dartmouth and beyond!
