Phantasm

Phantasm  is a multi-faceted project consisting of three main lines of inquiry:
§ An fMRI study that decodes relative pitch and timbre of scans of subjects imagining sound
§ A concert work for acoustic, fMRI decoded and imagined sound
§ A series of interviews with people with differing relationships to imagined sound

The project is the topic of my Masters thesis and will be completed in May 2020. An article for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) and a book chapter for the Springer Numanties series about the project are currently in preparation.
