Bienvenido!

NicaraguaBienvenido, and welcome to my website Hanover to Nicaragua, where I will be documenting my journey and preparation for the 2016 Nicaragua Cross-Cultural Education and Service Program with Dartmouth CollegeThis annual trip enables a group of Dartmouth students to travel to Nicaragua, more precisely to the RAAN (Región Autónoma del Atlático del Norte), for two weeks in December to rural communities to work on local sustainable projects. Dartmouth has partnered with Bridges to Community; an international non-profit organization emphasizing education, reflection, and community ownership. This year, as a member of the Community Health team, I will be traveling to Hormiguero, Nicaragua, with my peers to work in a small clinic.

All students traveling on the CCESP trip are required to take the LACS 20 course: The Politics and Ethics of Development in Latin America: The Nicaraguan Context, to prepare and provide us with sufficient knowledge of the culture, history, and current situations of Nicaragua. This ePotfolio is a collection of my thoughts, observations, reflections, and projects from throughout the course, and includes blog posts, an oral history project, and more.
