Jones 24hr Video Contest 2025

The Jones 24hr Video Contest gave participants 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film of 2-4 minutes. Their films had to incorporate a set prop and prompt decided on by the video contest committee. Josie proposed, planned, organized and ran this event in it’s inaugural year of 2025.

Video Contest Logo

As part of her work planning and marketing this event Josie created a brand new logo and other promotional materials using Canva.

As seen at the top of this page this is the logo Josie designed for the contest. The logo incorporates important elements of the Dartmouth Libraries brand such as color, font, logos, and iconography.

Below are some of the mock ups of the logo in different colorways:

Laurel Designs

To stay in theme with film festivals and video contests Josie designed winners laurels for each award on offer–Jonesy Award, Jonesy Runner-Up, Audience Choice Award. Each award had two designs, a formal one for film posters, and a fun one with more JMC character.
