Open in new tab This project, which is from my Writing 5 class, Grotesque Bodies, is the piece of writing that I found most difficult. It was interesting in retrospect that I find this the most difficult because in all honestly it was my favorite piece to write. In the Heights, the musical I am analyzing in this piece, is one of my favorite musicals of all time and I snapped at the chance to write about it. This is where the problems stemmed from however, because of being so excited in my writing that I ended up throwing too much information into it, thus making my points unclear. The was a lot of “word vomit” and this caused my overall argument to be unclear and less effective then if I had tried to stick to writing more objectively about the piece.
