Infographic

This infographic was made as an attempt to raise awareness about the pressing issue that is global warming. Even though this is an extremely pressing topic it has recently not been getting enough attention, and when it does it has usually been by those that deny that it is a thing or that humans cause it. Recently, the United States withdrew from the largest international agreement ever made with the goal to mitigate climate change. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change global warming has the potential to have a drastic negative effect and definitely affect the future ones. The most recent report published by the IPCC confirms that there are strong anthropogenic factors that strongly contribute to climate change.

Hopefully this infographic is good at reaching a pretty broad audience. The information included is intended to be accessible to people with no real background with the issue but also effective at communicating with people that already know more about the issue. Hopefully people that view this infographic will take some action to address climate change. Anything that I mention in the infographic would fulfill the purpose of this project. It can be as small as helping spreading the word or as big as committing to use only renewable sources of energy and to vote for politicians with eco-friendly platforms.

At the very least I believe this infographic does an effective job at communicating some of the negative effects climate change has had on the planet. People that read this infographic will hopefully learn something new about the effects of climate change and be persuaded that there is a lot of evidence that shows climate change is real. If this infographic or the information on it makes someone think twice about who they vote for in the next elections then it has been extremely successful.

The infographic shown below is another infographic I had previously created for a similar purpose. It also focuses on climate change and is intended to inform the audience about the issue.
