This site is dedicated to the history and the impact that the Latinx community, specifically Mexicans, have had on Houston cuisine. The most famous and well-known impact is Tex-Mex, but there are many other areas in Houston cuisine that have been profoundly influenced by Hispanic people.

These pages will walk through the background, cultural significance, and cultural changes that have occurred in Houston over the past years.

It is my hope that with this website there will be a better understanding of how the Latinx community has culturally and socially affected the Houston community through cuisine.
