Imagine you live in the town of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island in Canada. The townspeople have a close community and love welcoming anyone new to their town. Recently, a new neighbor has moved to Avonlea. Her name is Anne Shirley, and she is just about your age. Your parents/guardians have suggested inviting Anne over to have a tea party to welcome her to Avonlea to get to know more people. You will take charge of planning the tea party and inviting the guests so can you learn how to host a tea party yourself.

As you succeed in completing each part of the party planning process your parents will give you a clue on how to move on to the next step. There is plenty to do before the tea party, so let’s get started on your first task! What’s the first task, you ask?
