By breaking down academic literature covering sustainability in the modern world, we are able to fully understand where we are as a society in the process of achieving sustainability. The four world views of sustainability are examined and linked by relativity to common themes between the world views. By providing adequate information concerning the world views and their interrelationships I hope to present a clear indication of what I believe sustainability is.
