Doing woodworking is how I realized I wanted to be an engineer. I discovered my passion for woodworking when I helped my friend’s dad build some shelves when I was a freshman in high school. Over a few years I built up a rudimentary woodshop in my basement and made various items for friends and family. I posted a lot on Instagram and Snapchat about my work, and the robotics team tapped me to be their hardware manager my senior year. After that, I knew I wanted to be an engineer.
