Architecture I Fall 2019

Factors such as climate, site, orientation, program, materials, and structure were studied in the process of designing structures and buildings. The course concentrated on developing students ability to translate architectural concepts into two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations, under the direction of co professors and architects Tim Olson and Kim Poliquin. Free-hand drawing, the use of architectural drafting tools, and model making were emphasized. Along with more traditional media, the Adobe Suite and Rhino were used as design and communications tool.
