On Friday evening, Prof. Gao brought us the sunken treasure from Jiangkou 江口, Sichuan Province.

This is the first time for us to know Sanxingdui 三星堆...

This evening we will have Prof. Gao Dalun 高大伦 to give us a talk on the amazing sunken treasure (dated 1646) they excavated, one of the top China's archaeological discoveries last year.

Prof. Gao is a leading archaeologist in China. He was Professor of Archaeology at Sichuan University and received the highest national teaching award. Before he became the President of Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, he was Director and Curator of Sichuan Provincial Museum. He is a shining academic star, extensively covered by almost all major media in China.
