When I started the process of making a podcast, I had no previous experience with audio editing, and definitely underestimated the importance of every word. I found that the more I worked, the more I had to make a conscious decision about each word, especially in the interview section. This taught me the value of the order and time allotted for each word, and how to try to think from my audience’s perspective. How they would hear the podcast for the first time. I wanted to both give them information while also move them emotionally. I wanted to target their emotions primarily by using stories from both a victim and an interview with a woman working with an organization that helps victims. My audience in this case was very similar to the audience for my  infographic project. I was hoping to raise awareness to the prevalence of child sex trafficking in the United States through facts imbedded in stories, and first hand experience.
