Envisioning the Future

The future of global sustainability feels very uncertain. We face rising global temperatures, environmental degradation, poor distribution of resources, and countless other challenges. Many people feel powerless to make a difference in their communities, much less on a national or global scale. However, by drawing on lessons from the past and thoroughly analyzing the current global landscape, we can seize windows of opportunity to take action and make change!

Sustainability challenges need to be addressed on individual, community, national, and global scales. There are roadblocks to sustainability at all these levels. However, they can be overcome when we value logical thinking, ethical practices, and collaboration. It’s essential that people at all levels exercise their individual powers and not be apathetic to the issues facing others.
