Hello and welcome to my site!

My name is India Burdon Dasbach, and I am an 18 (sophomore) at Dartmouth College. I am from New York City, and went to The Nightingale Bamford School for High School. At Dartmouth, I have not declared my major yet, but I am a potential Anthropology major, and Spanish minor, and I am currently on the pre med track. On campus, I am a ski patroller at the Dartmouth Skiway, and I am the apprentice liaison for the 2015-2016 year. I am also a tour guide, and enjoy giving tours of our campus!

I am very excited to be participating on the Community Health (CH) team on the Nicaragua Cross Cultural Education and Service Program (CCESP). I have always been fascinated by global health, and I am especially interested in health in Latin America. In high school, I went to Guatemala on a medical service program called Global Public Service Academy for Health for two summers, and worked in a clinic and gave public health presentations. I loved the work I did in Guatemala, and my experiences made me especially excited to be going on a health-related trip to Nicaragua. Throughout this class, I have learned a lot about the unique Nicaraguan culture, history, politics, and health, and I am looking forward to experiencing the reality of everything we have studied.
