Early Life:

Benjamin Bradford Weisiger, Jr. was born on December 16, 1899, to Benjamin Bradford Weisiger, Sr. and Georgiana Weisiger, and grew up living in Brooklyn, NY. Weisiger attended high school at Manual Training High School in Brooklyn, not far from his home. While at Manual Training High School, Weisiger was a track star, captaining the school’s team during his junior and senior years, and garnering honors as a two-time dash champion of Greater New York’s public schools.

Dartmouth, Columbia, Penn:

Bradford Weisiger’s talents as a track star followed him to Dartmouth. Weisiger competed at the varsity level his freshman year, and according to records from the University of Pennsylvania, heĀ held multiple records at Dartmouth, for the 60, 100, and 200-yard dashes. After abruptly leaving Dartmouth in 1924, Weisiger spent one year at Columbia University’s dental school, before transferring again to the University of Pennsylvania. While at UPenn, Weisiger competed on the track team and had great success, gaining recognition from multiple media outlets, especially for being a part of the College Championship Relay Team of America in 1926.

Post college:

Bradford Weisiger eventually graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s dental school in 1929. Post graduation, Weisiger practiced dentistry in Brooklyn, NY. He died in December 1985 in Rockaway Park, Queens, NY.
