Home to Dartmouth College’s Big Green men’s and women’s ice hockey teams, Thompson Arena is one of the nation’s finest hockey facilities. Not only so, Thompson Arena serves as a prime community space for students to bond at during the chilly New Hampshire winters. Many reminisce fondly of Thompson Arena as point of community pride, a space that promotes Dartmouth spirit and identity. The arena, however, is not just catered to Dartmouth students. Thompson Arena serves a diverse group of people in Hanover, New Hampshire, including college students, Hanover “townie” residents, and youth hockey and figure skating teams.
