In this project, I adapted an essay-style writing piece into a multimedia online project. To do this, I had to change the writing style into shorter, more concise sentences and paragraphs to work in pictures, videos, and web design. One of the most important things was to look at topic sentences and claims differently and articulate them through headings and sentences that proceeded entire pages of different media, not just a single paragraph. Another important aspect was drawing media in directly as body information, rather than just citing it separately. This posed challenges, but was also very beneficial to making concise points. One thing that is very challenging and something that I need to work on is keeping congruent thoughts as I move through different web pages and around different media forms. This project caused me to think differently about the claim and motive formula that works through an essay and how it can be adapted to other, contemporary forms.
