Personal - I am an 18 year old from Winnipeg, Canada and I play for the Dartmouth Women's Ice Hockey team. I love music; I started playing guitar in the summer after grade 10 and am in The Rockapellas, a social justice a cappella group on campus. I initially played the ukulele to help me learn guitar. My dad has also taught me some harmonica. I love writing poetry. Next term I will be taking my third poetry class at Dartmouth. I am unsure of what I want to major in as of right now. I was possibly thinking English but am not a huge fan of writing essays which probably isn't the best thing then!
Writing - I really enjoy writing poetry and music. My writing 5 class was "Poetry In Politics" and I really enjoyed that class in the fall. This winter I am taking ENGL 82 which is "Introduction to reading and writing poetry" with the same professor that I had for my writing 5. I am really enjoying the class and discovering my love for poetry. Because of this I applied for the Intermediate poetry class in the spring. I'm looking forward to furthering my writing abilities over the course of my time here at Dartmouth.
