Writing 2/3 OR Writing
Why did you choose this as your “best piece” from Writing 2/3, Writing 5, or Humanities 1?
Before arriving to Dartmouth, I had never viewed writing as an academic strength of mine. My writing was able to get me through my years of high school, but I was certainly anxious to see how I would transition into college writing. Throughout my 4 years of high school, I had written one, singular paper that was longer than ten pages. In my first Writing 5 course at Dartmouth, we wrote four papers of ten pages or longer in ten weeks! I believe that the final paper written for my Writing 5 class, a case study paper about the use of cyber warfare in today’s landscape and in the future, highlights how far much I have developed as a writer. Of all the papers we had to write during the Fall term of 2016, I feel that this paper best represents me a writer.
