For my First Year Seminar class, we were required to complete a WordPress website which included discussion posts based on various topics of the class, three response papers, a writing journal, which we continually kept during the process of completing our final research paper, and a page that contains the final research paper. For me, the challenge in this project was making sure that the page was fluid and not difficult navigate. I wanted to make the accessible so that anyone could get on the site and it would be easy to see all of the writings which we completed throughout the term. I also wanted to make sure that the design of the website was done in a professional, yet interesting manner, which would catch anyone’s eye, even if they just stumbled upon the site by accident. The site is highlighted by a large image of Frida Kahlo, capturing her presence and personality, while the margins of the site are plastered with David Alfaro Siquieros’ Revolutionary Mexico. My hope was that the site would be aesthetically pleasing to any viewer.  For a student who does not have the best skills with a computer and design, I feel great pride in the final product that is my Spanish Murals WordPress site. The link to the site is placed below:
