This Saturday we visited the Jinshanling Section of the Great Wall in Hebei Province! Jinshanling is known for being a particularly beautiful and uncrowded section of the Wall – most likely due to the fact that it is a two hours’ drive out of central Beijing. In true Beijing style, the pollution surrounding the mountains could be seen from the top of the wall and reached as far as the eye could see. The smoggy day did not influence our good time; in fact, for most of the trip, we assumed it was just the clouds.
